Although my Public Relations studies have given me many marketable skills for life in the digital age, it is my Religion major that reflects how I understand and appreciate this beautiful world. Although the topics range from Gandhi's interpretation of ahimsa to the role of women in the Celtic church, my areas of interest are in the role of religion in Palestine, specifically concerning conflicts between the Abrahamic religions.
2020
In my class on Christian Faith and Feminist Critique (REL 331), I was able to research and write about the integral role of women in the formation of Christianity in the British Isles. Through monasticism, marriage, and education, women influenced the men who we remember as heroes of the faith in lawless times.
2022
In the century many nations declared independence from their colonial oppressors, Gandhi stood out from other freedom fighters for his practice of ahimsa, or non-violence. My paper written for my Asian Religions class (REL 200) explores the inclusivity of Gandhi's dream of an independent India.
